Job Title: NOC L2 Engineer
Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 5 – 6 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: 24x7 Rotational About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Network Operations Center (NOC) Level 2 Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The role involves supporting and maintaining critical network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and delivering exceptional service through effective troubleshooting and client communication. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in FortiGate Firewalls, HP/Aruba/Extreme Switches, and Extreme & Aerohive Wireless Access Points, along with hands-on experience in ServiceNow for ticket and incident management. Key Responsibilities: . Provide L2-level support for network incidents, requests, and escalations via ServiceNow. . Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate Firewalls (VPNs, NAT, routing, and security policies). . Manage HP, Aruba, and Extreme switches (VLANs, trunking, LACP, and Layer 3 routing). . Support Extreme and Aerohive Wireless Access Points to ensure reliable connectivity. . Monitor and maintain network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios. . Maintain accurate incident records, documentation, and SLA compliance within ServiceNow. . Collaborate with ISPs, vendors, and internal teams for escalation and resolution. . Communicate effectively with users and clients to diagnose and resolve network issues. Required Skills: . Strong technical expertise in FortiGate Firewalls, HP/Aruba/Extreme Switches, and Wireless (Extreme/Aerohive). . Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, and BGP (basic). . Hands-on experience with ServiceNow and network monitoring tools. . Excellent communication, user interaction, and client-handling skills. . Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a 24x7 operations environment. Preferred Certifications: . Fortinet NSE 4 or higher . Cisco CCNA / CCNP . Extreme Certified Network Associate or equivalent . ITIL Foundation Certification Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
