The MIG BEST (Baseline Engineering & System Test) team at Cisco is on a groundbreaking journey with powerful technologies and Network Automation at the forefront. The product line you will be working on includes the industry-leading Core, Edge, Access & Optical portfolio and their respective evolutions. In this role, you will be part of the MIG BEST organization, focusing on the solution strategy, test planning, and design of the next generation networks for the SP Routing portfolio of XR based products. Your key responsibilities will involve designing, developing, automating, and implementing new HW or features across complex networks. You will work on functional, interoperability, and customer use cases, as well as defining and qualifying End to End / Solution Architectures. Additionally, you will engage in debugging complex network problems and defining solutions, work on network automation, algorithmic thinking, and analytics applications derived from customer use cases, and contribute to continuous improvement and transformation with quality at the center. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work optimally with teams across geographies in 3+ continents, engage in direct customer interfacing, and manage collaborators effectively. Your primary skills should include a deep passion for quality and customer success, a good understanding of Service Provider technologies and architecture, proven work experience with networking protocols and L2 to L7 technologies, hands-on experience with third party traffic generator/emulation tools, software quality assurance experience, automation skills with Python, REST, Jenkins, and strong Linux understanding, exposure to data models and network manageability, as well as strong written and verbal communication and social skills. You should be results-oriented with a high degree of accountability, dedication, and responsibility. As the ideal candidate, you should have a BS/MS degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field such as EE/CS/ET combined with 4-6 years of related experience in system and solution testing or related software test experience. Excellent problem-solving skills, familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development/debugging, and solid software design and development skills are necessary. Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/JCNA/JCIE would be a huge plus.
