As a Network Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to monitor the network infrastructure using various network monitoring tools and systems to ensure availability, performance, and security. You will be expected to respond to network incidents, alerts, and service requests, troubleshoot issues, and resolve or escalate as necessary to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Routine tasks such as system updates, patch management, and configuration changes will also be part of your role to optimize network performance and reliability. You will need to collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve network issues and implement necessary changes or upgrades. Documenting network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and training purposes will also be an essential aspect of your job. Implementing and enforcing network security measures, policies, and procedures to protect against unauthorized access and vulnerabilities will be crucial. Additionally, you will work closely with Network Engineers and other IT teams to implement network infrastructure projects and initiatives. Participating in on-call rotation and providing after-hours support for network emergencies and planned maintenance activities will be required. Providing technical support and guidance to end-users, NOC team members, and stakeholders on network-related issues and inquiries is also part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Network Administrator, NOC Technician, or in a similar role in a large-scale network environment is required. Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and systems such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Cisco Prime is essential. A solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies is expected. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are necessary for effective analysis and resolution of network issues. Knowledge of network security best practices and technologies is also vital. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. You should be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment. Preferred certifications for this role include CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent certifications. Availability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation as required is essential to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.,
