Role & responsibilities Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to manage and maintain our LAN and WLAN infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto technologies, ensuring optimal network performance, security, and reliability across our enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities: Network Configuration & Maintenance Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WLAN infrastructure using Cisco switches, routers, and wireless controllers. Implement and manage VLANs, trunking, STP, and other Layer 2/3 protocols. Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and redundancy. Security & Firewall Management Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls including policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention. Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Collaborate with the InfoSec team to enforce network security standards. Troubleshooting & Support Diagnose and resolve network issues related to connectivity, performance, and hardware/software failures. Provide Level 2/3 support for escalated network incidents. Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps. Monitoring & Optimization Use tools like SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, or Panorama for network monitoring and reporting. Analyze traffic patterns and optimize bandwidth usage. Plan and execute network upgrades and patches. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 5+ years of experience in LAN/WLAN configuration and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (CCNA/CCNP preferred). Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSA/PCNSE certification is a plus). Familiarity with network monitoring and logging tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
