As an Information Security Specialist at Medline, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of security operations by focusing on proactive incident management. Your responsibilities will include incident identification and escalation, problem resolution, vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, stakeholder reporting, collaboration with IT and security teams, ticket queue management, security platform maintenance, and more. You will be responsible for detecting and logging incidents with detailed documentation, analyzing and escalating high-complexity tickets, investigating support calls to determine root causes, and performing vulnerability analysis. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver regular updates on security activities to senior stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a cohesive security strategy, and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills. To excel in this role, you should have 4-6 years of experience with SIEM tools like MS Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm, proficiency in EDR tools and Email Security tools, and a strong background in SOC analysis. You should also possess in-depth knowledge of various security technologies, operating systems, virtualization platforms, cloud-based endpoint security solutions, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and relevant certifications such as CEH/Security+.
