Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and ensure system uptime and reliability.
Administer firewalls, VPNs, switches, and routers to support secure and efficient operations.
Implement and maintain network security protocols, access control policies, and threat detection systems.
Perform regular updates, patching, and firmware upgrades for network devices.
Configure and manage network services including DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and VLANs.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to networking components.
Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and maintain up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure.
Liaise with external vendors and ISPs for network-related services, support, and escalations.
Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution concerning network infrastructure.
Maintain accurate and current network diagrams and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
35 years of experience in network administration or similar roles.
Strong hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Familiarity with network technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet.
Proficiency in core networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, VLAN).
Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response.
Preferred certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
