Job Title: Network Support Engineer Location: Oliva Corporate Office, Hyderabad Department: IT Job Type: Full-Time Experience: 4-7 years Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Support Engineer to manage and support the day-to-day IT operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of IT systems including laptops, desktops, firewalls, internet connectivity, access points, and server infrastructure. This role involves both end-user support and backend infrastructure management. Key Responsibilities: User Support: Provide technical support for laptops, desktops (Windows/macOS), printers, and mobile devices. Install, configure, and troubleshoot OS, applications, and hardware issues. Manage asset tracking, repair/replacement, and hardware upgrades. Network & Connectivity: Monitor and troubleshoot internet connections, switches, and access points. Setup and manage Wi-Fi access points, VLANs, and network segmentation. Ensure smooth LAN/WAN operations and internal communications. Firewall & Security: Configure and maintain firewalls (e.g., FortiGate, SonicWall etc) Manage VPNs and remote access solutions. Implement and monitor basic cybersecurity measures and endpoint protections. Server & Infrastructure: Basic administration of Windows/Linux servers (Active Directory, file shares, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups. Assist with server deployment, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and storage solutions. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date documentation for configurations, assets, and procedures. Follow standard ITIL or internal support ticketing workflows for issue resolution. Ensure adherence to IT policies and data protection regulations. Vendor Coordination: Liaise with ISPs, hardware/software vendors, and service providers for procurement and issue resolution. Follow-up on AMC contracts, hardware repairs, and licensing. Key Skills: 4+ years of experience in IT support or network administration. Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments. Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, access points, and switches. Familiarity with server management and backup tools. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and customer service skills.
