Network Admin

You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing reliable and secure network systems, including LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructures. Setting up, monitoring, and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points will be a key part of your role. It will be your duty to monitor network performance to ensure optimal uptime and identify potential issues. Troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues and outages, both remotely and on-site, will also be within your scope of work. Implementing and managing network security protocols, such as firewalls, encryption, and VPNs to safeguard the company's network will be crucial. You will be required to conduct regular security audits and assessments to prevent unauthorized access and potential breaches. Regular updates and patching of network hardware and software to ensure they are secure and up-to-date will be part of your responsibilities. Managing network resources and configurations and implementing necessary improvements to meet evolving business needs will be expected. Providing network and laptop support to employees and assisting with troubleshooting issues will be another essential aspect of your role. You will also be responsible for educating and training staff on best practices for using the network securely and efficiently. To excel in this role, you are expected to have industry-related experience as a Network Engineer and possess good knowledge of networks and network configuration. You must be able to explore and solve various network issues logically and securely and understand various network security components such as firewalls, access control, and VPNs. A good knowledge of various kinds of networks and network configuration is essential. Collaborating and working with the team to bring out effective solutions for networking issues is vital. You should have an in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols, as well as familiarity with access control models and network security. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools such as Grafana and Prometheus network tools is preferred. Sharp troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently are crucial for this role. Organizational and mentoring skills will also be beneficial in fulfilling the expectations of this position.,
