Role Summary This is a remote full-time role based in India for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be responsible for the reliability, availability, performance, and monitoring of our core Linux infrastructure and VoIP platform. This role involves setting up and managing various monitoring tools, developing alert mechanisms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a highly stable environment for our Netsapiens VoIP switch and other open-source switches across diverse cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain the core Linux infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and stability. Respond to, triage, and resolve system alerts and incidents efficiently to minimize downtime and service disruption. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: 3+ years of experience in systems administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, specifically managing Linux environments. Certifications/Licenses: Relevant Linux (e.g., RHCSA) or Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, GCP) are a plus. Preferred Skills Experience with VoIP/Telecom infrastructure, particularly the Netsapiens platform or similar open-source switches. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and tool development. Strong Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a technical team and communicate clearly across departments. In-depth experience with monitoring tools and setting up alerting and on-call procedures. Experience working with and troubleshooting systems in various cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Additional Notes Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly desirable. A strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP and SIP/RTP protocols, is beneficial for troubleshooting VoIP issues. Candidates should be prepared to participate in an on-call rotation.
