Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and performance-driven .NET Core Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance APIs and services using .NET Core, with proven experience handling billions of API calls monthly. This role focuses purely on backend development no front-end or full-stack responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency RESTful APIs using .NET Core. • Architect and implement event-driven systems using async/await patterns and messaging queues. • Optimize backend services for scalability and performance to handle billions of API calls per month. • Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure. • Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews. • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability. • Document technical designs, processes, and best practices. • Candidate should be willing to work from 3.30 PM to 12.30 AM IST Architect and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core (.NET 9) and C# 13 with Azure-native scalability. Implement parallel API calls, async patterns, caching (Redis), and rate-limiting for high-concurrency workloads. Build event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hubs, Event Grid, and Service Bus for real-time data flow. Design resilient integrations with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage for structured and unstructured data. Implement telemetry and tracing using Application Insights, Kusto (KQL) logging, and Azure Monitor. Manage identity and access via Azure Active Directory, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect. Automate builds and deployments using Azure DevOps CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform). 5+ years of backend development experience with C#/.NET (Core, 5+). Proven track record in building large-scale, cloud APIs on Azure. Expertise in Azure App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Redis, and Application Insights. Proficiency in parallel API processing, async/await, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience with Docker, Container Apps, or Kubernetes. Knowledge of SQL Server, Cosmos DB, EF Core, unit testing, and Git Required Skills & Qualifications: • 57 years of hands-on experience in backend development using .NET Core. • Strong expertise in asynchronous programming (async/await) and event-driven architecture. • Proven experience in building and scaling APIs to handle massive traffic (billions of calls/month). • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems. • Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, App Services, Event Grid, Service Bus, and Azure Monitor. • Proficiency in using CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus). • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with telemetry, logging, and monitoring tools (e.g., Application Insights, ELK stack). • Familiarity with performance profiling and load testing tools. • Knowledge of security best practices in API development. Nice to Have Core Requirements Experience deploying and managing applications with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Container Apps, and Kubernetes (AKS). Skills in securing and optimizing APIs using Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Application Gateway. Familiarity with FHIR/HL7-based healthcare API integrations (e.g., Epic EHR).
