Medical Biller – Commercial and Government Insurance (US Healthcare), Minimum 5 years of work experience. Location: Remote India-based Schedule: US Eastern Standard Time (9AM-6PM) Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Pay: ₹45000 – ₹60000 per month based on experience Bonus: Performance-based quarterly bonus About Us Nees Physical Therapy is a US-based outpatient clinic seeking an experienced Medical Biller to manage our commercial insurance billing cycle. This fully remote role is open to candidates in India with strong knowledge of US healthcare billing and the ability to work during US business hours EST. Position Summary The Medical Biller will be responsible for the full revenue cycle, including insurance verification, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and patient collections. Accuracy and follow-through in this role directly impact reimbursement clinic performance and patient satisfaction. Location- Remote position in India. Since this is a full time role, the candidate is required to install a productivity tracking software on their laptop for efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities Insurance Verification and Authorizations Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments Obtain prior authorizations and referrals from commercial insurance providers Charge Entry and Coding Enter charges using correct CPT ICD-10 and HCPCS codes Apply appropriate billing modifiers such as GP and 59 based on payer rules Ensure billing is supported by proper clinical documentation Claims Submission and Follow-Up Submit clean claims through clearinghouses or payer portals Track claim statuses and resolve rejections or submission errors promptly Payment Posting and Reconciliation Post payments from insurance companies and patients using EOBs and ERAs Reconcile payment discrepancies and apply necessary adjustments or write-offs Denial Management and Appeals Review denied or underpaid claims and determine corrective action Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation when necessary Patient Billing and Collections Generate and distribute patient statements Communicate with patients regarding balances and establish payment plans as needed Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with HIPAA and commercial insurance billing guidelines Maintain accurate financial records and generate aging and AR reports Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in medical billing for US commercial insurance Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy billing is preferred Proficiency with billing software clearinghouses and payer portals such as Availity or Office Ally Strong understanding of CPT codes, modifiers and insurance reimbursement rules Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines Must have a stable internet connection a quiet home office and own a laptop Must be available to work during US Eastern Time EST business hours Additional Requirements Must provide 3 professional references from previous healthcare billing roles To Apply Apply directly on Indeed Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday Night shift US shift Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus Quarterly bonus Yearly bonus Work Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month Expected Start Date: 01/10/2025
