As a member of the Design and Engineering team at DESRI India Private Limited, based in Hyderabad, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting DESRI's portfolio of wind, solar, and storage projects. You will collaborate with both U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external stakeholders, in a dynamic environment that values teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the Project Engineering team in conducting electrical studies for renewable facilities, focusing on system aspects to support solar and substation design. You will create, develop, and validate reports/studies related to interconnection agreements, short circuit, reactive power/load flow, arc flash, dynamic stability, harmonic analysis, ampacity, and other relevant areas. Additionally, you will review IFC electrical studies from project EOR, establish study templates and methodologies, and work closely with the detailed design team to optimize various aspects of electrical power systems. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of experience or a Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Renewable/Solar Energy/Power Systems with at least 2 years of relevant experience in utility-scale power projects. Proficiency in NEC70 codes for utility-scale projects is essential, along with the ability to effectively communicate findings and conclusions through well-structured reports. Ideal candidates will have specialized training or coursework in protective relaying, symmetrical components, transmission line theory, power system transients, dynamic stability, and power system electromagnetics. A multidisciplinary technical background and hands-on experience with relevant software packages will be advantageous in this role.
