The responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Preparation and review of the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Welding and NDE matrix for large steam turbine components as per the code, standards, and project specifications. - Comprehensive knowledge of large castings and forgings manufacturing process for large steam turbine & generator components for 210 - 800 MW. - Performing Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) of large castings & forgings components & assemblies to applicable drawings and technical standards. - Hands-on experience in UT, MPI, and DPT testing for inspection witness of large steam turbine components at supplier premises. - Reviewing WPS & PQR in accordance with various codes and standards for various welding processes. - Inspecting critical machining components & fabricated parts including steam turbine rotors, turbine casings, valve casings, turbine blades, etc. - Ensuring planning, coordination, and inspection as per the customer's quality inspection plan and maintaining quality dossier accordingly. - Collaborating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams on supplier quality topics. Requirements for the role: - Bachelor's degree/diploma in mechanical engineering or related technical field. - 10+ years of experience in Quality assurance and quality control, preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry & power sector domain. - Must be Certified ASNT NDT Level-II in UT, MPI, and DPT. - Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or direction. - Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing. - Ability to make quick, informed decisions and manage multiple manufacturing issues/projects and deadlines. - Willingness to travel frequently for inspections at supplier works.
