Join our team as a NetApp Storage Installation Engineer , where youll lead the planning, implementation, and validation of NetApp ONTAP and E-Series solutions across diverse customer environments. What Youll Do: Deploy, configure, and upgrade NetApp AFF, FAS, and E-Series systems. Implement NetApp ONTAP environments (Data ONTAP/SANtricity) with high-availability configurations. Integrate storage with SAN/NAS protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS/SMB). Collaborate with pre-sales and client teams to design tailored storage solutions. Perform hardware installation (rack & stack), conduct site audits, and manage handover documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating with NetApp Support when needed. Create detailed network/storage diagrams and installation documentation. Follow NetApp Certified Installation Partner (NCIE/NCDA/NCSE) standards. Apply best practices for LUN provisioning, snapshots, SnapMirror, and data protection. Work closely with project managers to meet implementation timelines and SLAs. What We’re Looking For: Certification: NCIE – ONTAP SAN/NAS/Data Protection (required). Experience: 8+ years of hands-on NetApp installation experience. Strong command of ONTAP CLI and System Manager. Solid networking knowledge (Ethernet, Fibre Channel, Cisco/Brocade). Familiarity with tools like Active IQ, AutoSupport, Unified Manager, Config Advisor. Bonus: VMware integration experience, scripting (Python/PowerShell), hybrid cloud (CVO, AWS FSx for ONTAP). Excellent communication and documentation skills. Willingness to travel to customer sites when needed. -Deploying & managing NetApp storage primarily ONTAP. -Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issuesrelated to NetApp storage, connectivity, performance. -Hardware Return and Replace: Coordinate and manage hardware RMA (ReturnMaterial Authorization) processes. Handle the logistics of returning,replacing, and tracking faulty hardware components. -Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, providing regularupdates, explanations in a clear and professional manner. -Collaboration with NetApp Support: Work closely with NetApp support to escalateand resolve complex technical issues. -Internal Reporting: Create and maintain reporting as per requirement. Primary Job Functions Provide Tier II Technical Support to enterprise clients, resellers, and third-party support providers. Troubleshoot and provide support via phone, web-based tools, and email. Act as a liaison between customers and engineering support during escalations. Collaborate with other teams to solve complex technical issues. Research, document, and escalate cases as needed. Document cases, recommendations, and resolutions in the CRM system. Active participation in Knowledge base creation, training, and other documentation activities. Be flexible with shift timings. Job Requirements Required Skills: Experience with ONTAP OS concepts or comparable storage OS (EMC, HP, IBM, NUTANIX, VMware). Good understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP routing, FC and iSCSI protocols. Familiar with NetApp hardware (FAS, AFF, Disk Shelf) architecture. Understanding of RAID concepts, SAN and NAS storage, and storage concepts like deduplication, snapshot, provisioning, and encryption. Knowledge of cluster architecture, high availability, Ethernet, TCP/IP routing, FC, and iSCSI protocols. Ability to diagnose complex problems and deliver Root Cause Analysis across a stack of complex applications, OS, Network switching and Storage elements. Desired Skills: Certifications like NCDA, CCNA, CCNP Data Center, SNCP, EMCSA. Hands-on experience with OnTap 7-mode/Clustered administration, NetApp System Manager/On Command suite applications. Knowledge of Linux variants and popular hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen). Knowledge on any Linux variant. Education 2-5 years of experience in a technical support environment or field experience B. E or B. TECH graduate (Computer Science, E & C, I.T, E&E) from a reputed college
