Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Experience:

Develop, write, and optimize NC/CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA, Edgecam, or similar).
Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to create machining strategies.
Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining processes.
Simulate and verify programs to detect errors before releasing to production.
Coordinate with production, tooling, and quality departments for smooth workflow.
Modify existing programs to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and ensure quality.
Maintain records of all programs and revisions.
Work closely with CNC operators, toolmakers, and maintenance teams to ensure machine performance and program accuracy
Provide technical support for machine operators and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure all safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the programming process.

Technical Skillset

Understanding of GD&T and machining tolerances
Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes & inspection methods of various products.
Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC machine operations.
Proficient in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX, CATIA, Fusion 360)
Experience with multi-axis machining (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis preferred)
