As an Automation Architect at Nokia, you will lead the review and enhancement of end-to-end processes within the Customer Engineering network automation center of excellence. Your contributions and learning opportunities will include: - Selecting and implementing the appropriate automation tools for optimal service delivery. - Establishing and guiding the regional Customer Engineering (CE) network automation center of excellence. - Analyzing requirements and prioritizing them to define project objectives. - Conducting verifiability and risk analysis to ensure the resilience of automation solutions. - Creating use case analysis, scenario determination, and sequence diagrams for architecture design. - Developing comprehensive automation delivery architecture documents and user guides. - Ensuring traceability between requirements, architecture, design documents, and verification activities. - Supporting service delivery teams with tooling solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Key Skills and Experience: - Proficiently managing and maintaining Unix environments as an admin/root user, guaranteeing optimal performance of services like DNS, NFS, SSH, etc. - Supervising virtualization technologies using KVM and Docker to streamline operations and deployments. - Designing and implementing networking solutions at Layers 2 and 3 for robust communication between switches and routers. - Utilizing and managing Network Management Systems to monitor and optimize network performance and security. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate and support NBI/SBI protocols like CLI, SNMP, and REST API. - Identifying and resolving network issues promptly to minimize downtime and enhance system reliability. - Developing and enforcing best practices for network architecture and management to align with business objectives. - Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance the team's capabilities. Desired qualifications: - Experience in administering various Unix services such as FTP, DHCP, and HTTP. - Proficiency in container orchestration and management tools beyond Docker. - Strong understanding of network routing protocols and architectures. - Familiarity with automation tools for configuration management. - Knowledge of security best practices in network management. - Experience with scripting languages to automate network tasks and processes.
