As a Vessel Planning Manager at House of Shipping, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate the efficient planning and execution of container vessel stowage. You will play a vital part in enhancing turnaround times, maximizing productivity, and ensuring smooth terminal operations. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Graduate or Masters level education, possess good computer skills, and be proficient in Shipping line Operations bookings and MS Office - Excel. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in vessel planning or terminal operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proficiency in vessel planning systems such as Navis N4 or similar platforms is required, along with the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing schedules and priorities. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include leading and managing a team of vessel planners to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of vessel stowage plans. You will collaborate with shipping lines, terminal operations, and port authorities to ensure coordinated vessel planning and execution. Monitoring and analyzing vessel operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, weight distribution, and vessel-specific constraints, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives will be key aspects of your role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating with yard planning, gate operations, and crane operators to align vessel and terminal plans. You will oversee vessel stowage planning, vessel operations in ports, communication with ship's masters, and the full process of data communication between ports and agencies. It will be your duty to consult with line managers to develop the best vessel schedules, prevent stowage problems in future ports, and optimize productivity while maximizing cargo handling. Your role will also involve providing vessel planning and IMDG CODE training to new joiners, responding to container terminals for queries related to vessel specifications, and generating monthly reports on vessel performance and utilization. Utilizing terminal operating systems for stowage planning and ensuring data accuracy will be essential tasks as well. Overall, as a Vessel Planning Manager, you will be at the forefront of ensuring efficient vessel planning and execution, contributing to the success and operational efficiency of House of Shipping's shipping and logistics services.,
