Job Description – Vessel Operator Core purpose of the role: To co-ordinate the day to day operational activities of voyage and time chartered tankers. Summary of responsibilities: Ensure compliance with agreed charterparty terms Communicate with charterers, brokers, agents and vessels regarding voyage orders and vessel itineraries Monitor vessel movement and voyage performances Review vessel stowage and tank cleaning plans Oversee the fixing of freight charges and obtaining cargo space Liaise with owners regarding oil major approvals Protecting owners interest wrt ensuring cargo release agains BL’s , LOI’s , operations covered under LOI’s , vessel readiness, compliance as per Charter parties etc Experience Required 2-3 years exp -shore based chem tanker operator experience preferred but that is not a restriction Sound commercial awareness Experience as a Master, Chief Mate, 2nd mate on Oil/Chemical tankers or a non-seafarer but with chem / veg oil operations experience
