Naval Architect - Concept

As a Naval Architect at our company, you will be responsible for various activities related to ship design. Your key responsibilities will include: - Concept Design of Ships: You will be required to prepare general arrangements for different types of vessels, conduct basic naval architectural calculations for vessel sizing, develop lines plans, perform resistance and powering calculations, determine bollard pull, design propellers, create midship sections, estimate steel MTO, and calculate lightship weight. - Preparation of Statutory Plans: You will need to develop various statutory plans such as Fire Control Plan, Life Saving Appliances Plan, Crew Accommodation Plan, Towing Plan, GMDSS Plan, and Tonnage Computation Plan. Additionally, you will assist in the Basic Design of Ships by participating in the preparation of basic structural drawings and calculations. You will also be responsible for creating intact stability booklets for vessels, including stability calculations. To be eligible for this role, you should have a BE/B.Tech in Naval Architecture. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience working in a design consultancy within the Basic Design department, focusing on the concept and basic design of different types of vessels. Exposure to various commercial vessels and innovative design concepts would be advantageous.
