Job Summary The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for executing NIRA’s strategic vision by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering on the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) . This leadership role involves overseeing operations, finance, business growth, and strategy to establish NIRA as a global hub for Robotics & AI education and research. Key Responsibilities Drive achievement of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) with measurable financial and operational targets. Lead day-to-day operations , ensuring efficiency across academic, research, student services, and support functions. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cost control to maximize resource utilization. Translate strategic vision into actionable business plans, policies, and initiatives. Build and maintain effective collaborations with industry, academia, and government bodies. Establish KPIs, performance metrics, and regular reporting systems across departments. Support fundraising, partnerships, and sponsorship activities to fuel growth. Lead risk management, compliance, and governance frameworks. Mentor department heads, fostering a high-performance and accountable organizational culture. Requirements Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology Management, or related field (MBA preferred). 12–18 years of proven leadership in operations, finance, or strategy within education, research, or technology-driven organizations. Strong understanding of academic and industry collaboration models. Excellent leadership, financial acumen, and strategic execution skills. Alongside academic responsibilities, the Academic Head will play a crucial role in industry collaboration, strategic partnerships, and business development from the academic wing . Key Responsibilities Design and implement cutting-edge modules, programs, and curricula aligned with global technology trends. Build and strengthen industry collaborations to ensure academic relevance and innovation. Drive partnerships with corporates, research institutions, and government bodies for academic projects and joint programs. Lead academic teams including faculty, trainers, and researchers, ensuring high-quality teaching and research outcomes. Identify opportunities for business development within the academic ecosystem, including corporate training, certifications, and joint research projects. Oversee labs and research centers to support innovation and experiential learning. Organize workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to integrate industry expertise into the learning process. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and maintain academic excellence benchmarks. Requirements PhD/Master’s in Robotics, AI, Computer Science, or related emerging technology fields. 10+ years of academic and/or research experience with exposure to futuristic technologies.
