Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our supermarket team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately scanning and billing products, handling customer transactions, and providing a smooth checkout experience. Success in this position means fast, accurate billing, excellent customer service, and helping maintain the efficiency of the store’s front-end operations. This role is key to ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Responsibilities: Accurately scan and process customer purchases using the POS system. Handle cash, card, and digital payment transactions efficiently. Provide friendly and professional service to customers at checkout. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area. Resolve minor customer inquiries or refer issues to the supervisor. Assist with inventory management and restocking when needed. Follow all company policies regarding cash handling and loss prevention. Qualifications: Minimum education: High school (10th or 12th) or any higher education. Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods. Prior experience in retail or cashiering is a plus but not required.
