Job Overview: We are looking for a proactive and hands-on IT Technician with around 2 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a good foundation in system administration and networking, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain IT systems and infrastructure efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and support servers and systems (Windows/Linux). Install and configure network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs). Perform basic system backups, software updates, and patch management. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues. Security Management: Implement and enforce physical and network security measures including perimeter firewalls, endpoint protection, SSL/TLS certificates, WAF, IDS/IPS, MFA and access control. Set up infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems for servers, network devices, and application services. Regularly monitor bandwidth, latency, system logs, disk utilization, and hardware health. Ensure daily and periodic backups, test recovery processes, and maintain DR (Disaster Recovery) protocols. Ensure compliance with security audits, standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2), and data protection policies. Maintain system performance and plan for capacity upgrades as required. * Operational Support: Provide ongoing technical support for internal users and infrastructure services. Provide 24/7 support for mission-critical infrastructure components. Apply OS and firmware updates, antivirus definitions, and security patches in a timely manner. Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure topology, configurations, and policies. Monitor compliance with internal IT and data protection policies. Analyze and optimize infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance. * Required Skills and Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Network/System Administrator managing on-premise infrastructure. Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, routers, switches (e.g., Cisco, MikroTik, Fortinet, Ubiquiti). Strong experience with Windows/Linux server administration and network services (DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, SMTP). Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, VLANs, and NAT. Expertise in setting up and managing local server rooms or data centers (power backup, physical security, ventilation, etc.). Experience with tools like Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar for infrastructure monitoring. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). Experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Experience in public IP management and secure remote administration. Understanding of DevSecOps principles.
