As a member of Michelman's Customer Service team, you will play a crucial role in delivering professional and friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include handling customer inquiries, providing information support, managing customer orders, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, collaborating effectively within a global environment, and problem-solving customer order issues. To excel in this role, you must possess a positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for effectively liaising with customers and internal departments. Key competencies for this role include knowledge of shipping and logistics, familiarity with INCO terms and Haz Mat requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in customer service, international/domestic shipping, and the usage of ERP systems such as Oracle/JDE and SalesForce is highly preferred. The top 5 Mandatory skills required for this position include HTS Classification (Harmonized Tariff Schedule), ECCN (Export Control Classification Number), Country of Origin Determination (COO), Trade Agreements (USMCA, FTA, NAFTA), and Customs Entry Review. The ideal candidate should be a Graduate comfortable working in US shift (rotational - 5 days WFO). As a Trade & Customs Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing and driving the team's initiatives, deliverables, and business requirements. This includes managing Commodity Codes classification globally, assisting in reviewing, validating, transitioning, and providing day-to-day support from India. You will also manage Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) globally and support the Country of Origin Program by reviewing, identifying, and alerting incorrect CoO to the impacted plants and Supply Chain Hubs worldwide. Additionally, you will be expected to support and run KPI metrics setup, extending support to the regional Trade & Customs leads. Conducting due diligence, providing merger/acquisition support, and offering trade compliance consulting in terms of Tariff Classification, DPL Screening, COO Analysis, and ECCN are also part of the job responsibilities. Providing periodic training to the India Trade and Customs Business Shared Services Team to effectively manage day-to-day Trade and Customs Operational activities will be crucial.
