As a Manager Sales at Microtex, you will play a crucial role in driving sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and implementing sales plans, and managing a high-performing sales team. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business objectives and sales targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the automotive industry. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve their individual and team targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support. Educational Background: A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in a related field is preferred. Experience: At least 5-8 years of experience in sales, with a significant portion of that experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector. Experience in the automotive or battery industry is a plus. Technical Knowledge and Skills: Sales Strategy and Planning: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve company sales targets. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Proficiency in using CRM software like Salesforce to manage customer relationships, track sales activities, and analyze sales data. Market Analysis: Expertise in conducting market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Sales Forecasting: Skills in sales forecasting and budgeting to predict future sales and allocate resources effectively. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to close deals, manage contracts, and build long-term relationships with key clients. Product Knowledge: Ability to grasp a deep understanding of the companys products and services, and the ability to articulate their benefits to customers. Pricing Strategies: Knowledge of pricing strategies and techniques to maximize profit margins while remaining competitive. Sales Metrics: Ability to develop, monitor, and report on key sales metrics and KPIs to track performance and drive improvements. Soft Skills: Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team, including setting goals and providing coaching and mentorship. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and senior management. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve sales-related issues and challenges effectively. Presentation Skills: Proficiency in creating and delivering compelling sales presentations to potential customers and stakeholders. Tools and Software: Proficiency in sales and marketing software tools (e.g., Salesforce). Familiarity with data analysis tools to assess sales performance and market trends. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the industrial or manufacturing sector, particularly in areas relevant to the companys products (e.g., industrial batteries). Additional Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Sales-related certifications such as from IIM or similar are a plus. Project Management: Experience in managing sales projects and initiatives, including new product launches and market expansion efforts. Digital Marketing: Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools to support online sales and lead generation. Continuous Improvement: A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in sales processes and techniques.
