Sales Officer FMCG (Retail Sales) | Summary (Points) Role Overview Responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding retail coverage, and ensuring product visibility in the assigned territory. Acts as the key link between company, distributors, and retailers. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales Achievement Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets. Drive both primary (company to distributor) and secondary (distributor to retailer) sales. Increase product penetration and market share. 2. Market Visits & Retail Management Visit markets daily to interact with retailers. Acquire new outlets and increase numeric distribution. Collect orders, follow up on delivery, and monitor stock availability. 3. Merchandising & Visibility Ensure proper display, shelf visibility, and planogram compliance. Maintain availability of all key SKUs. Track competitor activity and share feedback with management. 4. Relationship Building Maintain strong relationships with retailers and distributors. Address retailer issues related to stock, service, schemes, or pricing. Communicate schemes, offers, and new product information clearly. 5. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily sales reports and market visit updates. Maintain retailer lists, route plans, and performance data. Provide regular insights on market trends and competitor moves. Skills & Competencies Good communication and negotiation skills. Strong knowledge of FMCG retail channel and market behavior. Ability to build relationships and influence trade partners. Basic computer skills (Excel, email, reporting). Self-driven, target-focused, and adaptable to market challenges. Qualifications & Experience Graduate preferred; open to candidates with strong sales skills. 1–3 years of FMCG retail/general trade sales experience.
