Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Backend Developer to join our core engineering team. You will architect and develop robust backend systems and APIs, integrating them with external platforms such as banking (PSD2/open banking), payment gateways, messaging systems, and identity providers . This role involves solving complex technical challenges, building for scale and performance, and collaborating closely with product, frontend, and QA teams. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET Core / ASP.NET Core Architect modular, scalable, secure APIs and microservices Integrate third-party systems (banking APIs, PSD2, payment gateways, email/SMS, authentication providers, etc.) Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, queries, and stored procedures Ensure security, reliability, and high performance of backend systems Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver well-tested, production-grade features Qualifications 4+ years of backend development experience Strong expertise in .NET Core / ASP.NET MVC, C#, and OOP principles Hands-on experience integrating external APIs and third-party services Strong knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server) and database design Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and CI/CD practices Solid understanding of scalability, security best practices, and performance tuning Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Nice to Have: Experience with microservices, Azure Functions, Redis, messaging queues, OAuth/OpenID, and frontend basics (React/Angular).
