Job Description: The Structural & Mechanical T&I Engineer is responsible for supporting and executing engineering and site supervision activities related to transportation, lifting, load-out, launching, and offshore installation of jackets, decks (topsides), piles, risers, and other heavy offshore structures. The engineer ensures all structural and mechanical aspects comply with project specifications, safety standards, marine regulations, and execution plans. Roles & Responsibilities: Review and validate detailed engineering documents related to lifting, load-out, sea fastening, rigging, and installation methodology. Interface with structural designers, marine warranty surveyors (MWS), and naval architects to finalize engineering calculations. Support installation method statements and risk assessments (RAMS, HIRA). Provide engineering support for barge transportation, lifting (crane or float-over), upending, and pile driving operations. Review T&I drawings, rigging plans, grillage and sea-fastening designs, and installation sequences. Monitor offshore campaigns during jacket launch, pile driving, or topside lift/float-over. Act as an offshore field engineer or client representative during jacket and topside installation. Coordinate with vessel teams, subcontractors, marine spreads (crane barges, tugs), and construction management. Ensure real-time tracking of operations and document deviations or incidents. Supervise jacket and topside load-out at fabrication yard with alignment and weighing. Witness barge ballasting, skid-shoe placements, and tie-downs for transportation.
