Hitachi Energy is currently seeking a Primary Design Engineer (GIS-PASS) for their High Voltage Business team in Savli - Vadodara, India. Joining the team, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with diverse groups and cultures. Your role will involve providing technical expertise and leading the primary engineering for GIS/PASS switchgear across various voltage levels. Your responsibilities will include participating in technical kick-off meetings, defining milestone deliverables, preparing electrical and gas SLD drawings, 3D modeling of high voltage GIS, and contributing to the margin improvement of projects. You will be accountable for on-quality delivery, bill of materials preparation, and technical document creation for procurement activities. Additionally, you will engage in customer meetings, project reviews, and provide troubleshooting support for factory and onsite issues. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 2-5 years of experience in primary design, preferably in GIS Engineering. Proficiency in 3D tools like ProE/CREO, AUTOCAD-3D, MS Office, and familiarity with international standards (IEC, EN, ANSI) is essential. Knowledge of the SAP system (MM module), GIS project execution process, and MV/HV substation design is required. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are also necessary.
