Music Teacher Job Description Plan and deliver music lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum (vocal, instrumental, or both). Teach students to read music, understand theory, and develop performance skills. Conduct regular music classes for various grade levels, from basic to advanced levels. Organize and lead school music performances, events, and competitions. Encourage and mentor students interested in developing their musical talents. Manage and maintain musical instruments and equipment. Collaborate with other staff for interdisciplinary programs and cultural events. Prepare students for music examinations (e.g., Trinity, ABRSM) if applicable. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports creativity and expression. Maintain records of student progress and provide feedback to students and parents. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Music or a related field. Formal training in vocal and/or instrumental music. Certification in music education (preferred but not mandatory). Previous experience teaching music in a school or educational setting. Proficient in one or more musical instruments (e.g., keyboard, guitar, tabla, etc.). Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Enthusiasm for working with children and nurturing young talent. Work Conditions: Full-time/Part-time role based at SRMPS.
