The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and management of leather bag products, from concept to launch. Day-to-day tasks include market research, defining product strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a startup mindset, with the ability to wear multiple hats and shift between strategic thinking and execution. Strong adaptability to fast changes and willingness to work with uncertainty and evolving business models are essential qualities. In a small team environment, hands-on technical skills are crucial, including basic front-end coding, CMS management, or design tool experience. Experience with DIY tools like WordPress, Shopify, or similar for managing eCommerce without a dedicated development team is preferred. Self-sufficiency and ownership are key attributes for this role, as the Senior Product Manager will likely take direct ownership of tasks from strategy to implementation. Project management skills are critical for handling tasks independently, given the limited team size. A scrappy approach to analytics is required, with familiarity with free or low-cost analytics tools and the ability to gather insights with limited data. The Senior Product Manager should have experience in resource management, maximizing every tool, and making budget-conscious decisions to drive growth. Customer feedback and adaptation skills are necessary, with the ability to directly interact with early customers, gather feedback, and pivot based on insights to iterate the product quickly. A practical understanding of SEO and digital marketing is important, with basic social media and content creation skills to support marketing efforts directly.
