As a Network and Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for providing Planning, Designing, Implementation, Operation, and Optimization services to Customers focusing on Cisco Network & Data Center products and related solutions. Your role will involve establishing strong relationships with customer management and teams, particularly in Data Center Infrastructure areas and future technology. You will be expected to tackle complex, multi-functional issues that span various technologies such as network, server, virtualization, security, applications, operations, content switching, caching, content delivery networks, and security. Applying a sound analytic process to assist in issue resolution will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will offer technical support to customers during software and hardware upgrades and Proof of Concepts, collaborating with TAC (Technical Assistance Center) teams, third-party vendors, Cisco Sales and Professional Services, as well as Development and Engineering teams. Your key skills should include knowledge and experience with routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, BFD, PIM, etc. Familiarity with ACI and related terminologies such as Vxlan, Tenant, BD creation, EPG, Subnet, Contract, L3 out, and L2 out will be essential. Proficiency in switching technology, including Vlan, Spanning-tree, VTP, ACL, along with knowledge of Multicast routing, PIM, IGMP protocols, SPT, is required. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Huawei, and Arista devices, particularly the Nexus family (e.g., VPC, VDC, MEC, Orphan port management), is preferred. A strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPSec, PPP, HSRP, VRRP, redundancy protocols, IPSLA, and SNMP protocols is necessary. You should also have hands-on experience in designing and troubleshooting DC equipment, such as Nexus Boxes and Spine & Leaf Topology, as well as ACI Traffic Flow. Certifications such as CCIE (preferred) and CCNP (required) will enhance your profile for this role. Additionally, having a grasp of the fundamentals of Cisco SD-WAN will be advantageous. Knowledge of Cisco Data Center products like Nexus 9000, Nexus 3000, Nexus 7000/5000, and Cisco ACI, as well as experience with Cisco ASR 9K (IOS XR) and Cisco ASR 1K (IOS/IOS XE), VXLAN, and ACI is mandatory. Expertise in IP/MPLS and ACI Migration, as well as experience with L4-L7 load balancing, firewalls, etc., will be considered a plus.
