Multi-Skilled Facilities Technician

You are a reliable and highly skilled Multi-Skilled Facilities Technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various building systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and smooth facility operations. Your role requires proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and general maintenance. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems to proactively identify and address issues. - Conduct repairs and maintenance on building structures, furniture, fixtures, and appliances. - Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components in compliance with safety standards and codes. - Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues like leaks, clogs, and fixture replacements. - Carry out carpentry work including repairing doors, windows, cabinetry, shelving, and drywall. - Assist in setting up and maintaining office or facility spaces, including furniture assembly and minor renovations. - Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to facility operations. - Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs. - Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and facility policies. - Keep tools and equipment organized, maintained, and calibrated for optimal performance. Qualifications & Skills: - Proven experience as a multi-skilled technician, handyman, or maintenance worker. - Strong knowledge of carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic mechanical systems. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Good communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. - Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., electrical license, plumbing certification) are a plus. - Physical capability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
