Barista ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and other café drinks as per recipes and brand standards. Greet customers, take orders, and ensure a welcoming café experience. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including coffee beans, brewing methods, and food pairings. Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion standards. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the barista station and café area at all times. Handle cash/pos transactions and issue receipts accurately. Monitor stock levels for coffee beans, milk, syrups, and supplies; report shortages promptly. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health standards. Upsell café products and promote seasonal/featured beverages. Commis Chef (Commi) ResponsibilitiesAssist in food preparation under the supervision of senior chefs. Follow standard recipes and portion control for consistency in dishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Wash, peel, chop, cut, and cook ingredients as required. Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items to maintain freshness. Support senior chefs in mise en place (pre-preparation) for service. Assist in plating dishes according to presentation guidelines. Adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen. Report any maintenance issues with kitchen equipment promptly. Learn and develop culinary skills through on-the-job training.
