As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include evaluating product designs for manufacturability, tolerance adherence, quality compliance, and cost efficiency. You will identify and design or procure fixtures and gauges needed for new components, create detailed manufacturing documents, program CNC machines, troubleshoot startup challenges, and fine-tune cutting parameters to maximize efficiency and tool longevity. Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve machinery and process issues alongside shop floor staff and engineering teams, operate CNC lathes, machining centers, and various manufacturing equipment hands-on, work collaboratively with engineering, quality assurance, supervision, and operations to enhance productivity and product quality, engage in root cause analysis, drive corrective actions to address quality concerns, and support the training of machine operators on operational procedures and specific task workflows. The ideal CNC Manufacturing Engineer should have an Associate's degree or equivalent education, proficiency with CAD/CAM software for drawing, design, and dimensioning, over 5 years of CNC machining experience (preferably with turning and milling), experience with MRP/ERP systems (an advantage), and a strong understanding of machine shop operations and practices.
