As a Manufacturing Engineer - Process Planning at our client, a long-standing manufacturer specializing in high-precision components, you will play a crucial role in impacting manufacturing efficiency and product quality on a daily basis. Working closely with advanced CNC technology, you will be an integral part of a supportive team dedicated to maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and teamwork in a hands-on production environment. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include developing and documenting CNC turning and milling process plans, interpreting CAD/CAM drawings for accurate design and dimensioning, creating setup instructions, tooling, and fixture requirements, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing issues. You will also be expected to implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality, maintain process documentation in the MRP/ERP system, support root cause analysis and corrective actions, and provide hands-on shop floor process support. To be successful in this role, you should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred), along with at least 5 years of experience in CNC turning and milling. Proficiency in CAD/CAM and dimensioning standards, as well as MRP/ERP experience, is advantageous. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, and you should be capable of working both independently and on the shop floor.
