Job Description: The Application Manager is a key role responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of an organization's software applications, from strategic planning and implementation to ongoing maintenance and support. This role serves as the crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that applications meet business needs, are reliable, and are optimized for performance and efficiency. The Application Manager is a subject matter expert who provides technical direction, manages a team of specialists, and drives continuous improvement for the product irrespective of the technology. The successful candidate will be joining the ERP CoE Production Planning Product based out of India and working on the Planning Processes within the Product. Key Responsibilities: Application Lifecycle Management And Strategic Planning and Roadmap: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and translate them into a long-term application strategy. Develop and maintain the application roadmap, prioritizing enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations. Manage application-related budgets, including licensing, support costs, and project expenses. Operational Management and Support: Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of all managed applications. Oversee the incident, problem, and change management processes for the application portfolio. Provide expert-level (Level 2/3) technical support and troubleshoot complex issues. Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Manage relationships with third-party software vendors and service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Gather requirements from users and business units to ensure applications are aligned with their needs. Continuous Improvement and Governance: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize application performance, streamline business processes, and reduce costs. Establish and enforce application governance standards, including documentation, security protocols, and data integrity. The concerned domain is Aircraft Manufacturing and production. The candidate, if selected, will work in an international, distributed and multi-functional team using an agile mind-set and methodology. Qualification & Experience: Graduate with 8+ years of experience in SAP PP. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Application Management. Minimum 5-7 year of experience inSupport or customer service. Proven experience in overseeing applications and/or a team of IT professionals and budget management. Skills in manufacturing processes and ability to decide on MRP run. Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), IT infrastructure, and database management. Good Experience in Team Leading Capabilities in Application support and Project. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Customer facing skill. Experience on working with European customers and Vendor management. Management of bespoke (Non SAP) Applications. As a SAP PP specialist, you will be expected to possess a strong functional knowledge in standard SAP Production modules and their integration with other SAP modules. The Production Planning module plays a crucial role at IM product Production Planning, encompassing various planning processes such as capacity planning, material planning, production order execution, bill of material, and goods movement. Your responsibilities will include mastering key solution capabilities such as Master Planning, Demand Management & Long Term planning, Capacity Planning, Material Requirements Planning, and APO/PPDS for Detailed scheduling. You should demonstrate familiarity with Manufacturing processes and be comfortable working with components of SAP PP like BOM, Production version, Work Center, Routings, Production Planning Cycle, and the associated dataset structures. Additionally, you are expected to possess a good functional knowledge in standard PPDS modules, leading the analysis of business requirements, designing, implementing, and deploying SAP S4Hana MPS solutions to achieve defined business objectives. Collaboration with the in-house Business team to comprehend requirements, adhere to standards and governance, and deliver tasks promptly is essential. Furthermore, you should be self-sufficient in adopting new Enterprise SAP Platforms. A successful candidate will have at least one End to End Implementation project experience in Production planning and detailed Scheduling (PPDS) with an overview knowledge of all integrated topics relevant to Production planning. Proficiency in S4Hana PPDS, Optimizer, Heuristics, CIF, planning, Scheduling, Transportation Lanes, Hierarchies, and exposure to various PPDS customizations are crucial. Experience in Project and Application Support Services, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management processes in an end-user facing role is expected. The domain for this role is Aircraft Manufacturing and production, and you will collaborate with an international, distributed, and multi-functional team using an agile mindset and methodology. Preference will be given to candidates with SAP S/4 HANA certification (v1709 or higher), IBP experience, and domain expertise in the manufacturing industry. Qualifications & Experience: - Graduate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP PP. - At least 3 years of experience in Support or customer service. - Minimum 1 Greenfield Implementation experience. - Skills in manufacturing processes and the ability to make decisions on MRP run. - Experience in Team Leading Capabilities in Application support and Project. - Proficiency in Performance Analysis, Data Mining, and Process Mining. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Customer-facing skills with experience working with European customers.
