In this role, you will have the opportunity to work full-time with 10 PAs, while part-time or job share options are also available based on mutual agreement on E.P.A.s. The salary scale for this position ranges from 111,430 to 148,064 per annum, with an additional on-call supplement. The Borders General Hospital, where you will be based, is a modern facility with 320 beds, serving the rural Borders area in South East Scotland, just 36 miles from Edinburgh. As part of the Respiratory team, you will work alongside two accredited Respiratory Consultants and two locum Consultant colleagues, providing services to both inpatients and outpatients. In this role, you will handle in-patient referrals from other teams promptly, with an average of 3-10 referrals per day, ensuring timely and quality care. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to the on-call General Medical rota at a frequency of 1:16 for full commitment. Applicants for this position must hold MRCP or an equivalent higher qualification, be fully registered and licensed to practice on the Specialist Register for Respiratory Medicine & GIM with the General Council, or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of the interview. A relocation package, up to full Inland Revenue limits, is available for successful candidates.
