We are looking for a seasoned Senior Mainframe Infra-MQ Programmer with extensive experience in IBM MQ administration on z/OS in data sharing environments. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of IBM MQ infrastructure, ensuring secure and efficient messaging flows across the enterprise. This role requires strong technical expertise in MQ administration and hands-on experience collaborating with application development teams. Primary Skills & Responsibilities: 6+ years of proven experience in Mainframe MQ administration within data sharing environments. Expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining IBM MQ on z/OS using SMP/E processes. Proficient in managing Cluster Queue Managers, Queue Sharing Groups, MQ utilities, and trace analysis . Solid knowledge of MQ channel encryption , security configurations, and best practices. Experience in setting up new MQ channels for communication with external business partners. Act as a technical guide to application developers for designing and developing robust messaging flows using IBM MQ. Troubleshoot and resolve complex MQ issues ensuring high availability and performance of messaging infrastructure. Secondary Skills: Familiarity with advanced MQ message security concepts and implementation. Experience in application programming using IBM MQ APIs and integration techniques. Ability to automate MQ administration tasks using scripting or tooling. Desired Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
