Mould Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop

  moulds, press tools, and machine components

  for medical device production.
• Use

  SolidWorks, AutoCAD

  , and other CAD software to create 3D models, 2D drawings, and assemblies.
• Prepare and maintain

  Design History Files (DHF)

  , ensuring compliance with medical device design control requirements.
• Create and update

  BOM

  and associated documentation for all designs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and collaborate with production teams for tool trials, validation, and optimization.
  
• Apply knowledge of

  GD&T, limits, fits, and tolerances

  to ensure precision and manufacturability.
• Research and recommend

  new materials, manufacturing processes, and design methods

  to enhance product quality and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all designs meet

  regulatory, safety, and quality standards

  applicable to the medical device industry.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:

  B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience:

  Minimum

  4-5 years

  of experience in

  mould design

  within the

  medical device or precision engineering industry

  .

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in

  SolidWorks

  and

  AutoCAD

  .
• Strong understanding of

  GD&T

  ,

  limits, fits, and tolerances

  .
• Experience with

  Design History File (DHF)

  and

  BOM

  management.
• Familiarity with

  mould manufacturing processes

  , tool design, and validation.
