We are currently looking for a talented 2D/3D Animatics Artist who can breathe life into cinematic sequences through engaging and dynamic pre-visualizations. As a 2D/3D Animatics Artist at XSQUADS, your main responsibilities will include creating high-quality animatics that effectively convey timing, motion, and camera movements for cinematic sequences. You will be tasked with developing fluid and expressive motion sequences to visualize storytelling flow, collaborating closely with directors, storyboard artists, and animators to refine visual narratives, and utilizing AI-assisted tools and animation software to streamline production processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless transitions, shot compositions, and camera movements that align with the intended cinematic style, as well as optimizing animatics for integration into animation, cinematics, and editing pipelines. Your role will also involve making revisions based on feedback while upholding artistic consistency and storytelling clarity. To qualify for this position, you should have proven experience as a 2D/3D Animatics Artist in the gaming, animation, or film industry, along with a strong understanding of cinematic timing, pacing, and movement. Proficiency in software such as Toon Boom, Adobe After Effects, Storyboard Pro, and Photoshop is required, as well as the ability to translate storyboards into fluid motion sequences. An understanding of camera angles, depth, and perspective in motion sequences, experience collaborating with various creative professionals, and familiarity with AI-powered animation tools are also essential. Preferred skills for this role include knowledge of film editing and post-production workflows, experience in game cinematics and interactive storytelling, the ability to enhance action sequences and emotional beats through effective timing, a strong sense of character motion and environmental interaction, and a passion for crafting engaging and cinematic visual narratives.
