As a Lighting and Compositing Artist in the Animation & VFX industry, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality lighting setups and compositing final renders to achieve the desired visual mood and quality across various projects, including video games, films, TV shows, and other media. Working closely with art and production teams, you will ensure that the lighting and compositing align with the creative vision and meet both technical and aesthetic requirements. Your key responsibilities will include creating and implementing lighting setups for characters, environments, and assets, collaborating with different teams to ensure consistency and integration, as well as compositing rendered layers and elements to produce final images or sequences that meet the creative brief. You will also be responsible for color grading, mood creation, optimization, performance, collaboration across departments, testing, and quality control. To excel in this role, you should have at least 7 years of experience as a Lighting and Compositing Artist in the gaming, animation, or VFX industry. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Unreal Engine, Unity, Nuke, After Effects, or Fusion is essential. As a Film Colorist Intern at WEBLIZZ, you will have the opportunity to showcase your passion for transforming raw footage into visually compelling cinematic experiences through color. Working on narrative short films, cinematic ads, music videos, and reels, you will play a crucial role in bringing mood, emotion, and life to visuals by applying high-level color correction and stylized grading. Your responsibilities will include color correcting and grading footage for various projects, ensuring visual consistency and mood throughout each production. Collaborating with directors, editors, and DOPs, you will work towards achieving the desired aesthetics while handling different camera formats such as RAW, LOG, ProRes, etc. Your expertise in using scopes, LUTs, and creative grading techniques will be essential in maintaining the color pipeline and organizing media efficiently. To excel in this role, you should possess proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (preferred), Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro, along with a solid understanding of scopes, contrast, saturation, skin tones, LUTs, and color theory. A keen eye for detail and cinematic color aesthetics is crucial, and any experience working with S-log, C-log, BRAW, or RED footage will be considered a bonus. Additionally, you must have a portfolio or reel demonstrating your color grading work.
