Role & responsibilities 1.1 Production & Operations Management Supervise daily manufacturing operations for EV chargers and related assemblies (AC/DC units, controllers, cabinets). Ensure adherence to production schedules, output targets, and quality benchmarks. Monitor shop floor performance metrics (OEE, productivity, downtime). 1.2 Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC standards relevant to EV equipment (e.g., IEC 61851, ISO 9001). Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for defects or field failures. Support external audits and customer inspections. 1.3 People Management Lead and mentor supervisors, engineers, and operators. Drive workforce planning, shift management, and skill development initiatives. 1.4 Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices to improve throughput and reduce waste. Participate in cost reduction programs related to materials, process, and energy. 1.5 Maintenance & Asset Management Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment and testing benches. Collaborate with engineering for technology upgrades and capacity enhancement. 1.6 Safety & Sustainability Enforce EHS policies and promote a zero-incident culture. Lead energy-saving and green manufacturing initiatives aligned with ESG goals. 1.7 Strategic Planning Support Assist the Plant Head in CAPEX planning, vendor management, and capacity expansion projects. Act as plant head in their absence and represent the plant in leadership forums as required Preferred candidate profile BE/B.Tech in ME/EE/Mechatronics Min. 10-15yrs of Work-experience As Plant Head Knowledge of Lean concept Thorough knowledge of reading & understanding Drawings of assemblies. Thorough Knowledge of assembly of manufacturing Through knowledge of best practices on shop floor Experience in working in Li ion battery is preferred Competencies Knowledge of EV Charger Manufacturing In-depth understanding of components, assembly processes, and testing of AC/DC EV chargers. Familiarity with IEC/ISO Standards Proficient in applying relevant international and national standards for product quality and safety compliance. Lean, TPM, Six Sigma Methodologies Skilled in implementing continuous improvement tools to optimize productivity and eliminate waste. Equipment Planning & Process Optimization Capable of evaluating, installing, and upgrading manufacturing equipment for enhanced throughput. Production Planning & Capacity Management Experienced in aligning production schedules with demand forecasts while optimizing resource utilization. Leadership & People Development Inspires, guides, and builds high-performing teams through coaching, delegation, and motivation. Strategic Thinking & Execution Translates long-term goals into actionable plans that drive operational excellence and growth. Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration Builds alignment and synergy across departments through clear, timely, and respectful communication .
