The Senior Engineer plays a crucial role within the organizational structure, reporting directly to the Team Manager as the direct discipline superior. With a strong proficiency in technical matters and a deep understanding of relevant Engineering principles and processes, the Sr. Engineer focuses on delivering safe, compliant, reliable, efficient, and practical solutions essential for the engineering design and execution of proposals and projects. As the Senior Principal Engineer, they serve as the discipline lead engineer for various proposals and projects, ensuring work is delivered within the contractual framework, maintaining quality, adhering to schedules, and achieving overall cost-effectiveness to meet the desired project outcomes. In the realm of engineering practices, the Senior Engineer actively contributes to the development and implementation of workflows, procedures, and practices, recommending and implementing specifications and procedures. They engage in reviews of work activities and projects, monitor workflow, consult with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Project Management Teams, and control key parameters, benchmarks, and efficiency figures for estimating equipment, material, and man-hours. Additionally, they participate in optimizing engineering practices based on collected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and tackle problems of varying complexity. Project execution is a critical aspect of the Senior Engineer's responsibilities. They ensure compliance with Discipline Manual and Job Manual during project execution, guaranteeing the implementation of all contractual requirements. Quality of deliverables for design work, timely completion of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements, on-time quality reviews of inter-discipline documents and vendor deliverables, and adherence to safety principles and procedures are all overseen by the Senior Engineer. They actively contribute to implementing lessons learned from previous projects, manage technical procurement activities for different types of equipment, review and approve vendor documents, and provide site assistance when needed. In terms of technical community engagement, the Senior Engineer actively participates in the Discipline-related technical community and aids in the development of technical standards, specifications, and design criteria. They continuously enhance their knowledge through seminars, trainings, and project executions within their area of responsibility. Education requirements for this role include an MTech/ME, BTech/BE, or Diploma/AMIE in a specific Engineering Discipline. Candidates are expected to have work experience in EPC or detail design engineering companies within the engineering discipline, focusing on project execution in sectors like Oil & Gas, Energy, Refining, and Petrochemicals. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 18 years of experience for degree holders, with additional experience in Modular/Modularization considered advantageous.
