As a Software Engineering Associate Director at our Hyderabad Center, you will lead a software engineering organization within Provider Technology to deliver strategic business capabilities and modernize existing solutions. In this role, you will work in an agile environment, overseeing a team of software engineers and managers, ensuring the delivery of user-oriented products in a fast-paced setting. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining engineering principles, technology standards, and preferred tech stack to enhance modularity, configurability, and reliability. You will be responsible for developing and managing team labor strategy, hiring and retaining top software engineering talent, and nurturing existing talent into full stack engineers. Your role will involve inspiring engineering teams to take risks, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring accountability. You will be the face of Provider Technology in Hyderabad, serving as an escalation point for local issues. Additionally, you will provide strategic input on technology options to deliver business value, manage technical and product vendors, and drive modernization and scalability initiatives. Enforcing modern delivery practices such as continuous integration and behavior-driven development will be crucial for operational excellence within your team. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to operate at a strategic level, possess strong problem-solving skills, and exhibit boundless curiosity to improve processes. Your technical acumen in cloud/on-prem software development, experience in managing teams in a matrix environment, and passion for building modular solutions using modern technologies are essential. Effective communication, cooperation, mentoring skills, and a collaborative approach to solution integrity are key attributes required for this position. Experience in modern and legacy development languages, CI/CD tooling, and Agile methodologies are necessary. The ideal candidate will have over 16 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years in a management role. Hands-on experience in engineering modern on-prem/cloud solutions, familiarity with various development languages, and exposure to CI/CD tooling and Agile practices are essential.
