As a Modular Furniture Draftsman at Ohm Decors, you will play a crucial role in our design team by preparing cutting lists and Bills of Materials for modular furniture pieces, ensuring accurate material estimation and procurement. Your attention to detail will be vital as you provide on-site guidance to carpenters and operators during the site handover phase, ensuring seamless installation and adherence to design specifications. Collaboration with designers and production teams will be key to ensuring that designs are not only innovative but also feasible and meet quality standards. You will be responsible for maintaining organized documentation of design changes, revisions, and project details, while also ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and ergonomic guidelines. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a draftsman in the furniture industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software is essential, along with a strong understanding of furniture design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Your ability to create accurate technical drawings, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills, will set you up for success. You should be adept at working independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and showcasing a keen eye for detail. Preferred skills for this role include experience with modular furniture systems and joinery, as well as familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to furniture design.
