Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Artist with 8-15 years of professional experience in the gaming industry. As a Lead Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, detailed, and visually compelling 3D character models that bring our game worlds to life. You will lead the character art pipeline, collaborate with other departments, and help define the artistic direction for characters in our projects. Key Responsibilities Experience & Leadership: Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience in 3D art or related fields within animation, gaming, or visual effects, with a significant focus on leading the creation of stylized 3D art across multiple projects. Proven track record of guiding teams and shaping the artistic direction for high-quality outputs.3D Modelling Expertise: Lead the creation of stylized 3D models for characters, environments, and props, ensuring the application of exaggerated forms, creative shapes, and artistic details. Oversee the creation of both high-poly and low-poly models and provide guidance on optimizing assets for performance while maintaining artistic integrity.Texturing and Shading Leadership: Provide advanced expertise in texturing and shading stylized assets using tools such as Substance Painter, ZBrush, and Photoshop. Ensure high standards for distinctive, detailed surfaces and lead the team in UV mapping and unwrapping techniques suited for stylized models.Software Proficiency & Technical Leadership: Maintain advanced knowledge of industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D) and provide direction on the use of sculpting tools (e.g., ZBrush, Mudbox) and texturing software (e.g., Substance Suite, Mari) to achieve the desired stylized aesthetic.Artistic Vision & Direction: Take ownership of the visual storytelling for the project, ensuring the consistent translation of abstract concepts into stylized 3D art. Drive the team’s understanding of color theory, composition, and design principles, and provide mentorship on applying these elements to stylized assets.Technical Problem-Solving & Optimization: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of technical challenges related to 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering. Direct the optimization of assets for performance without sacrificing the visual quality or artistic direction.Collaboration & Mentorship: Foster strong collaboration between art directors, animators, and other teams to ensure the seamless application of the stylized vision across all project stages. Lead by example in mentoring junior artists, providing constructive feedback, and sharing expertise in stylization techniques.Adaptability & Innovation: Champion the ability to adapt artistic approaches based on feedback and changing project requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent across game development, design, art, engineering, production, and publishing roles. You’ll be a strategic partner to hiring managers and play a key role in building teams that shape the future of our games. Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for technical and non-technical roles within the gaming industry (e.g. game artist, developers, producers). Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs and create tailored sourcing and recruiting strategies. Source candidates through multiple channels including job boards, LinkedIn, social media, events, and referrals. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of diverse candidates. Screen resumes and conducts initial interviews to assess candidate fit. Schedule interviews, coordinate feedback, and guide candidates through the hiring process. Maintain ATS (Applicant Tracking System) data with accuracy and ensure compliance with recruitment policies. Provide a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Familiarity with ATS platforms (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workable) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Passion for games and a strong grasp of gaming culture is a plus.
