As an RF Engineer at Lam, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and troubleshooting cutting-edge radio frequency solutions for power delivery and plasma generation in Etch and Deposition products. Your expertise in utilizing RF as a power source and creating innovative generator designs will contribute to advancing new power sources for Lam's wafer fabrication equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include designing/selection, testing, and documenting RF power delivery systems, Matching Circuit and Filter design for a Frequency range of 100KHz to 100 MHz and Watts to Kilowatts ranges. You will serve as a subject matter expert on technical issues, provide guidance, and recommend solutions. Collaborating with the account team, you will present problem statements, root causes, and proposed solutions to customers. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for performance improvements within customer sites through data collection and analysis. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Master's degree in RF Engineering/Microwave Engineering with 7+ years of experience, a Ph.D. with 4 years of experience, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in RF measurement equipment, knowledge of test and calibration standards, and experience with transmission lines are essential. Familiarity with high voltage design rules in the frequency range of DC-100MHz and experience with Circuit Simulation and Modelling Tools are also required. Preferred qualifications include exposure to LT SPICE/MathCAD/MatLab, knowledge of plasma processing, and semiconductor experience on RF Sub-System.
