Currently we are looking for the position of Database Engineer 3 The Database Engineer is responsible for providing database services with the overall objective of implementing database solutions using company software and associated database technologies. What You Will Be Doing Min 8 Years of relevant experience is required. Implement complex database solutions, activities may include general database consulting, executing miscellaneous scripting requests against customer databases coming database migrations and upgrades or building custom reports. Investigate and resolve complex customer support issues. Maintain advanced proficiency in 3rd party and company specific technology necessary to successfully implement database solutions. Conduct database performance analysis with a focus on query efficiency and schema design; apply tools and utilities to identify integrity or performance issues and assist with database support issues when needed. Lead in gathering requirements with the appropriate stakeholders to develop a plan and proposal for solution. Perform technical analysis on databases and gathering data to implement proper database solution. Document specifications or findings and recommendations resulting from database services in a manner consistent with company documentation standards. Collaborate with peers and set the standards for high quality and efficient database solution designs to ensure consistency across internal and external documentation. Participate in sales activities, including generating proposals and estimates. May provide guidance to other team members. Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; Provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge. What Will Make You Successful Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Successful completion of comprehensive performance assessment. Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server Oracle and Postgres) and industry recognized concepts. Experienced writing and debugging complex SQL including stored procedures and functions. Familiarity with Erwin Data Modeler. Experience working with cloud solutions such as AWS or Azure. Performance tuning experience. Experience with designing schemas. Experience installing and troubleshooting databases on Windows and Linux. Foundational knowledge of networks, storage, virtual environments. Demonstrated success at reading and writing software documentation from a configuration or user interaction perspective. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects independently to completion Able to speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience.
