Model Development - Machine Learning and AI

Role Overview: As an Associate Consultant / Consultant for machine learning and AI at Northern Trust, you will be a key member of the Risk Modelling Team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning / AI models for predictive analytics. You will operate independently and have knowledge of banking balance sheets and income statements. Your main duties will include conducting analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and interacting with different committees and/or senior management. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics, classification, and optimization tasks. - Develop tools and agents using Co-Pilot/Co-Pilot Studio. - Monitor model performance and retrain models as needed to ensure accuracy and relevance. - Document model development lifecycle and ensure compliance with internal AI governance and risk policies. - Conduct analysis independently ensuring accuracy and completeness. - Interact with different committees and/or senior management. Qualifications Required: - Master's in Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics / advanced degree in quant area. Skills Required: - 4-8 years of experience in machine learning, AI, or data science roles. - Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar. - Proficiency with Co-Pilot Studio. - Familiarity with GenAI concepts and applications. - Strong understanding of model lifecycle management, including versioning, monitoring, and retraining. - Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
