Emergency Response - Identify the emergencies likely to be arise, Prepare Emergency response procedures & plans & conduct periodic drills. EHS - Implementation & updating documents and activities relating with EHS management system. (Risk Assessment, Aspect Impact, EHSQ manual, On site emergency plan, legal obligation, monthly EHS. Committee meeting, OCP, SOP, MSDS, Emergency equipments details & status, Mock drill, all kind of inspection and checklists at sites. EHS Inspections - Daily, weekly & quarterly inspections using checklist, preparing audit reports & action plans for compliance & ensure the compliance in the prescribed time limits. Prepares, maintains, and retrieves records, reports, or documents that may be required to meet corporate or regulatory requirements, including monitoring application of EHS standards. Ensure the water & Air emission Aspects - Monitoring of water & air emissions on regular basis & ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Waste Management - Waste segregation as Non hazardous, Hazardous, Electronic Waste & Hazardous waste; ensure the proper disposal of waste according to the regulatory requirements. Energy Management - Preparation & tracking of Energy consumption like Fuel, Electricity, Steam & gases. Ensure the sustainable development of the facility. Water Management: Preparation & tracking of water consumption. Implement various Documentation - Environmental Health & Safety documentation as per Regulatory requirements & ISO 14001, 9001 & ISO 45001 standards. Responsible all types pollution Control (air, water, noise, soil & Hazardous Waste Management).Responsible for maintenance & handling of all types of fire extinguisher. To organize demonstrative Training & classes of fire extinguishers on live fire. Conduct Safety Committee Meeting and inspection of Process, Chemical Mechanical & Electrical safety. To prepare the monthly site EHS MIS. Drive Root cause analysis on issues and drive corrective actions and preventive actions to closure. Conduct incident/accident investigations and develop corrective & preventative action plans. Initiates & manages a safe workplace for each employee, with minimal risk to health, by means of a safe work environment and machinery as well as safe movement, storage. Celebration of the National safety week, Road safety week, World environment day etc. To conduct the reward and recognition. To conduct the internal audit. Job Summary: The Chief Security Officer (CSO)*is responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of all physical security operations , with a strong emphasis on command and control of Assistant Security Officers (ASOs) , enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) , and the protection of personnel, assets, and property. The CSO sets the overall security strategy and ensures round-the-clock operational readiness across all locations. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Command: Direct, manage, and oversee daily operations of the Security Department , including all Assistant Security Officers (ASOs) and frontline staff. Assign duties, schedules, and posts for ASOs, and ensure proper supervision and discipline. Conduct regular briefings, debriefings, and operational audits with ASO teams. SOP Development & Enforcement: Develop and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of site security, including access control, patrolling, surveillance, incident handling, and emergency response. Ensure all ASOs are trained, evaluated, and compliant with current SOPs. Periodically review and update SOPs based on risk assessments and operational needs. Physical Security Oversight: Manage and maintain access control systems , CCTV surveillance , visitor management, and perimeter defences. Oversee response to security incidents, alarms, emergencies, and violations. Implement layered security strategies for high-risk zones and critical infrastructure. Training & Readiness: Design and deliver training programs for ASOs, including drills on emergency procedures (fire, theft, medical, intrusion, etc.). Conduct mock drills and audits to evaluate preparedness and response efficiency. Promote a culture of vigilance, accountability, and professionalism within the security team. Compliance, Reporting & Liaison: Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, and operational records. Liaise with law enforcement, emergency responders, and regulatory agencies when necessary. Ensure compliance with local laws, industry standards, and internal policies. Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Security Management, Criminology, Public Administration, or related field (preferred), EX-serviceman 8–12 years of experience in security management , including 3–5 years in a leadership role overseeing ASOs or equivalent personnel. Strong knowledge of guarding operations , access control , emergency procedures , and SOP implementation . Experience managing large security teams, especially in industrial, commercial, or institutional environments. Certification: CPP – Certified Protection Professional PSO Certification or equivalent (varies by country) Fire Safety and First Aid certifications (advantageous) Key Competencies: Command presence and leadership under pressure Strong discipline, integrity, and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in security reporting, patrol coordination, and shift management tools
